Alvaro Donado is a Producer/Director who has led projects across the US, Central/South America, Europe, and Africa.

He currently works with award-winning agencies and production companies, directing and producing branded content, corporate films, and broadcast commercials for clients such as Organic Valley, HERO, Blue Air, Sunbutter, HALO, Paw.com, Crunch Master, Splenda, Microsoft, Office Depot, Nike Air Jordan, Kohl's, to name a few.

As an award-winning film director/producer, Alvaro directed the short crime drama, MIDNIGHTS. The film was awarded Best Direction for Drama at the New York Television Festival and was selected by Sony and the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) for the Voces Nuevas 2020 showcase series broadcast on Cine Sony — Sony’s premier US cable movie channel for the bi-cultural Latinae audience.

Prior short films Alvaro produced have won Student Academy Awards, a Student Emmy, a Sundance Jury Award, and a Mexican Academy Award, among numerous accolades. He produced the feature sci-fi thriller, MESSENGERS, and his feature film production management credits include EDEN (Dir: Mia Hansen-Løve) and HAND IN HAND (Dir: Valérie Donzelli). He has also worked locations on films such as PERCY  JACKSON & THE LIGHTNING THIEF and Sidney Lumet's BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD, as well as on numerous TV shows for HBO, Sony Pictures, CBS, Warner Bros TV and A&E TV.
